Dear Diary

There's something magical about writing your goals and dreams on paper.

All right, I can’t believe it, but I am going to share something with you from my diary. I feel kind of like a third grade girl right now, but I have something important that I want to share from you that’s kind of like a diary entry. I’m going to tell you the story behind this. It was last year exactly, December 31st, 2016 I think. I had asked a friend who’s also a coach of mine, Mandy Keene, a Peak Performance Specialist who coached on Tony Robbins’ team for many many years join my students and I for a webinar. She’s one of the best in the world at getting people to actually achieve their desires and to actually perform at their highest levels.

The whole purpose of the call was to have a successful 2017. We were planning out the year, and doing a dream achieving workshop for the following year, and it was unlike any other goal achieving workshop that I’ve ever done in the past. I set goals for what I want my body to be, what I want my finances to be, where I want my relationships to be, and where I want to travel that year.

She actually had me write a diary entry, or a journal entry. I thought it was really strange when I did it, but I trusted her. I figured she knows what she’s doing because she’s worked with Tony Robbins.

Turns out, everything that I wrote on this diary has actually happened in exactly one year of time. I want to go ahead and explain how this worked and the power behind it.

Basically, she said to write out a letter to yourself stating it one year from today, and talking to yourself like you’re talking to your future self is talking to your past self. I wrote this letter, which I thought was kind of silly, but I figured, okay, I’ll just give it a try. So, I wrote this letter about all the things that I wanted to accomplish, and I wrote it in the past tense, so, “Dear Adam, congratulations, you’ve now done, dah, dah, dah, dah, dah.”

One of the first things that I wrote was that I wanted was to earn a million dollars with my new business, and boom, it happened. Another thing that I wanted to have happen was to go skiing in Lake Tahoe for Christmas with my family. I actually just got confirmation that all my family is going to be able to be there and that it’s going to be able to happen.

Really, everything that I put down on this little diary has come to fruition. I think a lot of the times in the creation process, when us as human beings are trying to create something, so we get this idea and we dream it up in our imagination. I think the next step from there is to physically write it down onto a piece of paper and It’s after you put your goals and dreams to actual physical paper that it begins to happen.

I’ve used this process so many times when we’re creating websites, or funnels, or products, or anything, that I’ll take an idea that I have in my head, I’ll put it onto a piece of paper, and then, boom, we’ll start actually creating it from there. It’s like bridging the gap between the spiritual, or the mental, and the actual physical is when you write it down on a piece of paper.

So, if you’re reading this, and you don’t have goals set, this is a really powerful exercise that I recommend doing. I’ve done it one time, and it worked perfectly. Everything that I wrote down on this piece of paper ended up coming true.

Let me know when you take the time to do this and what ends up happening!
