How To Hire Your First Virtual Assistant
Let’s talk about the benefits of hiring a virtual assistant! This is extremely important if you’re growing a business or you just don’t know how to do something.
There’s people in foreign countries that will do stuff that you don’t want to do for very, very cheap. We’ve been doing this for several years and we’ve hired a bunch of different ones for all different sorts of projects from doing logos to handling customer support to pretty much running our whole entire eCommerce store.
My two favorite places to find assistants is from UpWork and Freelancer. They basically work the exact same way. For me, choosing which platform I use typically depends on what I need done. For example, if I’m going to make a logo, I’m going to go to Freelancer because there’s something really cool that you can do. You can actually create a contest where you can have literally hundreds of people start submitting their best logo design based on your project and then you can just pick whichever one that you want to use.
Now, if I’m actually going to hire a long term virtual assistant, I usually use UpWork. Essentially you can get people to do literally anything from doing your bookkeeping to doing social media content to doing graphic design work to customer support. Literally anything you could possibly imagine that you could hire somebody to do in America, you can find somebody overseas to do it for way cheaper, and a lot of the times they’re really really good.
Whatever your business is, I highly recommend doing it so that way you can focus on the more important stuff.
